How I got started
I first was introduced to dōTERRA through a sample bottle of Digestzen (now called Zengest) way back in 07. I had already been using other essential oils for their aromatics and didn't believe there was any therapeutic benefit to them. However I was convinced to "just give this a try" after I had for as long as I can remember suffered with horrible IBS issues that really impacted me. I had been through all of the allopathic channels and lots of the holistic channels too and I still had no answer and nothing would help alleviate my symptoms. My issues were effecting my social life and causing me so much anxiety so, apprehensively I gave it a try. When I say that this oil changed my life I don't say that lightly. It gifted me relief, confidence and ultimately, my life back. I could now leave the house without worry, I could spend time with friends, travel, go on dates and I wasn't constantly filled with anxiety about what would happen if I felt sick. From then on, I have seen these oils work for me personally and for so many people who I love and adore and it brings me such joy to help other people experience them in all their life changing ways, too.
